On May 31, 2016, the e-learning platform Tabshoura Kindergarten launched in Beirut. In attendance was Her Excellency, the Ambassador of Canada to the Lebanese Republic, Michelle Cameron. Tabshoura was a collaborative project by the Lebanese Alternative Learning association, World Vision Lebanon, DOT Lebanon, and the Faculty of Educational Sciences at Saint Joseph University. The platform launched at the Campus of Human Sciences at the Saint Joseph University. The launch brought together 450 guests representing NGOs, education institutions, government and private sector.
Tabshoura Kindergarten is an e-learning platform aligned with the Lebanese pre-school curriculum. Content is available in Arabic, English, and French. The platform contains a total of 2,350 educational activities from the new curriculum. Included are rhymes, short movies and flip books that teach language and science. Tabshoura is funded and sponsored by Global Affairs Canada and World Vision Lebanon. Funding and sponsorship is being provided under the No Lost Generation Project. DOT Lebanon was responsible for training tutors on integrating technology into their teaching.
