Here is the story of our youngest team member, who has achieved a lot in a short period of time.
My name is Mira, and I am one of DOT Lebanon's Teacher Facilitators in Beirut Mount Lebanon Area. What follows is the story of my success.
I start working with Digital Opportunity Trust Lebanon - DOT Lebanon as a Teacher Facilitator in three Secondary Public Schools reaching more than 25 teachers.
I was coaching the teachers on TeachUp! program which was the best achievement that contributed to my experience; where I got the chance to meet valuable connections that helped or would help me to reach the best.
While I was coaching, I have added a new spirit to the student's’ educational level where they were no longer receiving the information but searching for it by doing research and participating in the interactive lesson. Indeed, Maimonides did make an excellent point when he said “Give a man a fish, and you feed him for a day; show him how to catch fish, and you feed him for a lifetime.”
Three years of work with DOT Lebanon were indeed filled with valuable lessons and concepts that altered my way of thinking. It has opened for me new opportunities that molded my personality into a better person. I have also start working as Global Youth Ambassador (GYA) with Their World, which was an edit value to my knowledge and especially public and communicational skills.
Moreover, DOT Lebanon empowers me to challenge myself, the best was introducing me for competitions as DOT Global Youth Ambassador Board, I was nominated to represent Lebanon at Nairobi. Board members will serve in an important leadership position that will contribute to DOT's work and help shape the future of the organization.
At the end, with the trust that is given by the team members and the sharing process; allowed us to feel more connected to the DOT Family. This fosters our creativity and learning perspectives that encourage everyone to think out of the box and to be loyal leading to a higher level of job satisfaction among employees.
