Marianne Bitar Karam - Country Director

AMarianne Bitar.jpgs Country Director for DOT Lebanon, Marianne is responsible for the delivery of economic and social programs in Lebanon. She is a member of DOT's Middle East management team with colleagues from Egypt and Jordan.  

Marianne has extensive experience in NGO Management and relief and development project implementation, and she is an expert in issues surrounding refugee communities in Lebanon. Throughout her tenure at World Vision, Marianne built an impressive network of Lebanese and International civil society that served her coordination, partnership and fundraising duties.

Marianne holds a BE in Agricultural Engineering from the American University of Beirut in Lebanon, a Master's in Food Science from McGill University in Canada, and an MBA from Saint Joseph University/Paris Dauphine, in Lebanon which included a CSR component.

Rhéa Azouri Rebeiz - Program Officer

IMG_3574.JPGRhéa holds a Master's degree in Social Development Work: Option: “Socio-Cultural Engineering from the University Saint Joseph, Beirut. She is currently the DOT Lebanon Program Officer.

Rhéa has been previously engaged over the past three years with different non-state actors including non-governmental organizations and municipalities (local government) in various capacities aimed at child protection, children participation, youth involvement and cultural development.

Joseph G. Youssef – Program Assistant/Accountant

1236011_10153220518225721_788140402_n.jpgJoseph joins DOT Lebanon after six years of experience as an accountant in a private sector company specializing in commercial sales. 

He moved to the non-profit sector in order to utilize his skills and to be actively engaged in the field of social development and education.

He holds a bachelors degree in chartered accounting from Sagesse Technical Institute in Beirut.

Ali Kitmitto - North Area Manager, TeachUp!

Ali.JPGAli joined DOT from UNRWA (United Nations Relief & Works Agency), where he was working in the capacity of an Employment Officer. Ali has also filled positions with International Training and Employment Agencies: Work Directions, Mission Australia, MAX Employment. He brings more than eight years of experience in Human Services sector. He is very well motivated and excels in Human Services, Human Resources, Training, and Employment Services.

Ali participated in Local Workshops and International ones, on CBT (Competency Based Training) with ILO (International Labor Organization), TeachUp! program Harmonization Workshop. He holds a Diploma in Human Resources from SWSI (South Western Sydney Institute).

Mariam Haidar - Bekaa Area Manager, TeachUp!

Mariam Haidar.jpgMariam joined DOT Lebanon from Little Village School where she was the head teacher of IGCSE Business and Mathematics department. Mariam has  11 years' experience in education field and previous experience as a programmer. Mariam had several different positions ranging between managerial ones, computer lab coordinator, as well as teaching. Mariam also is a manager of an e-commerce business.   

Mariam graduated with a Bachelor Degree of Computer Science and Engineer from the American University of Science and Technology. She is doing her Masters Degree in Management Information Systems at AUST. She also has a Proficiency in English Certificate by the University of Michigan.


Walid Abou Saifan - Beirut Area Manager, TeachUp!

Walid.jpgWalid joined DOT Lebanon from the Arab Resource Collective (ARC), where he was the ICT4D coordinator. He has also filled positions with different organizations: Communications Associate with UNDP UAE, ICT Coordinator with SABIS UAE in addition to Freelance Consultancies in ICT4D and communications. Walid brings more than nine years' experience as an Information and Communication for Development in Non-Governmental and international organizations. He also was part of the SAMIDOUN relief center during July 2006 war.

 Walid holds a B.Sc. in Computer Science from the University of Balamand in addition to certificates including PMP (AMIDEAST UAE), Results Based Project Management (UNDP), Communications (UNDP) and Conflict Resolution (CCRP). Walid also volunteers as an ICT consultant for local NGOs.
