Dr. Dima Jamali - Convenor of the Management, Marketing and Entrepreneurship Track, Olayan School of Business, American University of Beirut

Dr jamali Dima.jpgDr. Dima Jamali is a Professor in the School of Business at the American University of Beirut and the Chair of the Management, Marketing, and Entrepreneurship Track. She holds a PhD in Social Policy and Administration from the University of Kent at Canterbury, UK. Her research / teaching revolve primarily around Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR).

Jamali  is the author of over 40 international publications focusing on different aspects of CSR in the Middle East, all appearing in highly reputable journals. Dr. Jamali's research record has won her a number of scientific awards and honors. She worked as an expert consultant for the United Nations on Social Policy and CSR as well as various projects funded by the World Bank, the US Agency for International Development, various NGOs, and other local public and private firms.

Hussam Kayyal - CEO, Exeed

Hussam Kayyal.bmpHussam Kayyal has more than 20 years of experience in regional ICT leadership roles, initiating and leading national ICT initiatives addressing Telco, Education, Public Sector, Hospitality, Financial institutions, and social development projects.

As a Senior Partner at neXgen, he drives engagement with clients, leads the development and delivery of business strategy, business models, and ICT strategy that align with the client mission and objectives. Kayyal uses a combination of global best practices, local culture understanding, specific verticals expertise, and the application of ICT services to deliver measurable business impact for the client.

Prior to neXgen, Kayyal had an extensive 11 year tenure at Cisco Systems, where he held various leadership roles, including managing the Service Provider Business for Saudi and the Levant, managing the Levant Operation, and driving key CSR programs for Cisco globally. Prior to Cisco Kayyal spent 8 years at Al-Faisaliah Group managing the Test & Measurement department for Hewlett Packard in Saudi.

Kayyal's core expertise includes Next Generation Telecom Services, Business models, Operational Models, Smart Services definition, and Go to Market Strategy. Kayyal also possesses an extensive experience in building Public Private Partnerships, Identifying Stake holders and building sustainable Echo Systems.

Janet Longmore - President and CEO, Digital Opportunity Trust

She has earned an international reputation as an innovative social entrepreneur. Under her leadership and vision, DOT has risen to the forefront of social enterprise, an international leader and innovator in enabling people to access and apply information and communications technologies to create education, economic and entrepreneurial opportunities. In 2010 Janet Longmore was recognized as one of Canada's Top 100 Women of Influence by the Women's Executive Network; the CATA CanWIT Woman in Technology Entrepreneur of the Year for 2011 and a TIAW World of Difference 100 Award winner in 2011.

Joumana Jo Haddad - Head of Cultural Pages, An Nahar Newspaper, and Editor-in-Chief of Jasad Magazine

220px-Joumana_Haddad.jpgJoumana Jo Haddad is the head of the cultural pages for An Nahar Newspaper, and is the Editor-in-Chief of Jasad Magazine, a controversial Arabic magazine specializing in the literature and arts of the body. She has already published several poetry collections, widely acclaimed by critics.Haddad's books have been translated to many languages and published abroad. She speaks seven languages, and has interviewed many international writers, such as Umberto Eco, Paul Auster, Jose Saramago, and others.

Haddad is a member of the Book and Reading Committee in the Lebanese Ministry of Culture. In October 2009, she was chosen as one of the 39 most interesting Arab writers under 39.

Marianne Bitar Karam - Country Director, DOT Lebanon

As Country Director for DOT Lebanon, Marianne is responsible for the delivery of economic and social programs in Lebanon. She is a member of DOT's Middle East management team with colleagues from Egypt and Jordan. Marianne has extensive experience in NGO management, relief and development project implementation, and maintains particular expertise in the knowledge of the refugee communities in Lebanon. Throughout her tenure at World Vision, Karam built an impressive network of Lebanese and International civil society that served her coordination, partnership and fundraising duties.

Karam holds a BE in Agricultural Engineering from the American University of Beirut in Lebanon, a Master's in Food Science from McGill University in Canada, and has recently completed her MBA from Saint Joseph University/Paris Dauphine in Lebanon, which included a CSR component. 

Michel Kilzi - CEO and Founder of Active Mania

Kilzi has an extensive experience in Business Development and Sales Leadership, and has contracts with worldwide organizations like HP, Intel and leaders in the IT industries.

Asma Zein - Country Manager, Aramex Lebanon

asma_pic.jpgAsmahan Zein is a Regional Country Manager at Aramex, one of the most prominent and growing transportation and logistics service providers worldwide. Zein is also the President of the Freight Forwarders Syndicate in Lebanon.

During her time with Aramex, Zein participated in many major social activities, in addition to various Corporate Social Responsibility projects. In 2011 Zein was chosen by the Lebanese State Department to participate in two prominent Women Business Leaders Summits: one in Amman, Jordan, and and the other in Washington D.C., USA.
